These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the arattatours.com website and any tour or travel service you book with Aratta Tours. By enquiring, booking, or travelling with us you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — they set out how bookings, payments, changes and cancellations work.
Aratta Tours is a locally owned tour operator based in Yerevan, Armenia, specialising in cultural, hiking and sacred-sites travel across Armenia and the wider Caucasus. You can reach us at contact@arattatours.com or +33 6 48 86 96 60.
An enquiry is not a confirmed booking. Once we have agreed the details of your trip and you have paid the deposit, a contract is formed between you and Aratta Tours on these terms. Please check your itinerary and traveller details carefully and tell us promptly of any errors.
Trips are reserved with a deposit, with the balance due before departure as set out in your booking confirmation. Prices are quoted per person or per group as stated and, unless noted otherwise, are based on the services, season and group size described in your itinerary.
Your deposit is fully refundable up to 30 days before departure. Cancellations made closer to departure may be subject to charges reflecting costs already committed to hotels, guides and suppliers; we will always aim to keep these fair and will explain them clearly. We recommend comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellation for reasons outside your control.
If you need to change dates or details after booking, contact us as early as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you, subject to supplier availability and any difference in cost. Occasionally we may need to change an itinerary — for example due to weather, road conditions or site closures. When this happens we will offer the closest possible alternative.
Adequate travel insurance is strongly recommended for every traveller, covering at least medical care, repatriation, cancellation and personal belongings for the activities on your itinerary (including hiking where relevant).
You are responsible for holding a valid passport and any visa required for Armenia and any neighbouring countries on your itinerary, and for meeting any health requirements. We are glad to advise, but the current requirements for your nationality are ultimately your responsibility to confirm.
We ask that you travel with respect for local people, sites and customs, follow the reasonable instructions of your guide — particularly on safety during hikes and at heritage sites — and let us know of any medical, dietary or mobility needs in advance so we can plan properly.
We take great care in selecting our partners and delivering your trip. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss, injury or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, or by the acts or omissions of third parties. Our liability for any claim relating to a booking will not exceed the amount you paid for that booking.
We are not responsible for failure to perform where prevented by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural events, severe weather, strikes, border closures, civil unrest, epidemics, or government action.
If something is not right during your trip, please tell your guide or contact us straight away so we can put it right on the spot. If a concern remains unresolved, email us at contact@arattatours.com within a reasonable time so we can investigate.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Armenian courts, unless the mandatory law of your country of residence provides otherwise.
