Tour Overview

Armenia’s greatest hits, in one long weekend

Short on time but not on curiosity? This three-day break distils the essentials of Armenia into a perfect long weekend — the pink-stone capital of Yerevan and the classic day-trip sights that ring it, all at an easy, city-based pace with no repacking and no long drives.

You’ll wander Yerevan’s celebrated café culture and grand squares, step inside a temple older than Christianity and a monastery carved into solid rock, taste the country’s famous brandy, and catch that unforgettable first view of Mount Ararat. It is a wonderfully complete introduction to the country.

Ideal as a standalone city break or as an add-on to a wider Caucasus journey, the trip runs by private vehicle with a licensed Armenian guide and includes central accommodation, every entrance fee and signature tastings — and can be easily extended into any of our longer itineraries whenever you’d like to see more.

Day 01
Yerevan city
Arrive and explore the “pink city”, so named for the volcanic tufa stone that glows at sunset: Republic Square with its dancing fountains, the soaring Cascade and its open-air sculpture garden, the Matenadaran manuscript museum, and the moving Tsitsernakaberd memorial. The day ends with an Ararat brandy tasting and a welcome dinner.

Day 02
Garni, Geghard & Symphony of Stones
A classic day trip east of the city: the hilltop Greco-Roman temple of Garni above its gorge, the rock-hewn cave monastery of Geghard (UNESCO), and the remarkable basalt columns of the Symphony of Stones, finished with lavash baked fresh before your eyes in a village tonir.

Day 03
Echmiadzin, Zvartnots, Khor Virap & departure
A spiritual finale west of Yerevan: Holy Echmiadzin, the Vatican of the Armenian Church, and the ruined cathedral of Zvartnots (both UNESCO), then the iconic view of Mount Ararat rising behind Khor Virap monastery, before your afternoon transfer to the airport.
